Halau Ka Liko Pua O Kalaniakea is under the direction of Kumu Hula Kapualokeokalaniakea Dalire-Moe, who was also Miss Aloha Hula 1991 and Ms.Keiki Hula Soloist Winner in 1982.  Kapua comes from a long line of hula which also includes her mother and grandmother.

Our hula halau is based in Kane'ohe, O'ahu with branches in San Francisco, Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.  San Francisco runs under the leadership of Alaka'i Mary Ann Wong; while Japan is under the leadership of Alaka'i Sawako Maka'alohilohi Yamasaki Van Osdol.

Halau first began classes in 2005, with Keiki, wahine and kupuna classes.  Recently Keiki Kane classes have begun, with one of Kalikopuaokalaniakea's boys winning the title of Master Keiki winner at the Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula Competition.  Wahine and Kupuna have done well and placed at World Hula Competition and King Kamehameha Hula Competition; and Halau Ka Liko Pua O Kalaniakea's Kane and Wahine were privilaged to be invited to participate at the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival in 2007.  Recently Japan's members also took first place at the 2007 Hula Ho'olauna Aloha Hula Competition in the summer of 2007.
